What is Protected Lifetime Membership™?
Protected Lifetime Membership is how you join the Cremation Society of the SOUTH. There is a one-time, non refundable, membership fee of $25 for one person or $30 per couple. At the time of membership, you are provided with these necessary forms: A Vital Statistics Form: This form provides our funeral directors with the needed information to file the death certificate at the time of death A "These Are My Wishes" Planning Form: This form documents and communicates your wishes to the survivors. So if you want a party over a funeral service, your family will be provided this information by our staff at your passing. This "PROTECTS" your wishes from anyone trying to motivate your survivors to do anything other than what you desire. Once the membership is complete and the forms are received by our staff, we will mail the following to your address: Member Identification Cards: These laminated member identification cards identifies you as a Protected Lifetime Member in the Cremation Society of the SOUTH and will initiate an immediate call to our staff at the time of death. Two cards are provided. One to keep on your person and one to be given to the person who will be in charge of finalizing your wishes after death. A Certificate of Membership: This official certificate identifies you as a Protected Lifetime Member in the Cremation Society of the SOUTH and should be placed in a file for safe keeping.
I understand Protected Lifetime Membership, so what else do I get?
In addition to protecting your documented wishes in a fire-proof environment until the time of death, we guarantee the following: A $400 dollar discount off the price of our cremation services at the time of death. Today's cost for cremation is $1295, so the member price for cremation is only $895. As the price of cremation increases, you don't have to worry because, as a Protected Lifetime Member, you are always entitled to lowest cost of cremation. We will *never subcontract or broker* the cremation to another funeral provider. Most funeral providers do not own and operate their own crematories and are forced to subcontract or broker the cremation to a third party. We own and operate our own crematories and will never cremate for others. We only serve our members or those who choose us after the sudden death of a loved one. To receive member pricing, You must be a member at least 24 hours prior to death
