Our Travel Protection Plan / Away from Home
Rider may be only added at the time of making your pre-funded arrangements
with Cremation Society of the SOUTH. The cost is only $10 per
person and allows 24 hour coverage anywhere in the continental United States
whether traveling or vacationing, provided that the death has occurred more
than 250 miles from the primary residence.
One, toll-free call to Cremation Society of the
SOUTH is all that is necessary. At the direction of the survivors,
our staff will arrange for the deceased to be cared for by one of our
approved affiliates outside of our primary service area. There is also
the option of returning the decedent to our primary service area for a
viewing or on-site cremation by our staff.
Cremation Society of the SOUTH must be
notified first in order for us to fulfill our obligations under the
Travel Protection Plan. The plan will be null in void if another
provider is contacted prior to contacting our staff. It is our desire
to ensure the safe and dignified cremation of our members.
This protection is only available to those who
have selected the Travel Protection Plan / Away from Home Rider. The
plan can only be added at the time of the original pre-funding application
